Our Mission
At Chena Camp we envision a compassionate and inclusive place for community programs that are dedicated to fostering positive change. Our mission is to cultivate a unique campus that serves as a resource for non-profit, professional, and community gatherings.
Our Campus
Chena Camp is a property in the outlying area of Fairbanks, Alaska, with a mostly completed lodge, 11 cabins in varying stages of completion, storage buildings, and a pole barn/aircraft hangar.
The project was initially developed by Habitat for Humanity and later transferred to another local non-profit, however, due to various setbacks was not completed. The original vision, support, and volunteer spirit demonstrated at the property are inspiring to us. We are honored and excited to accept the challenge of completing the project, now known as Chena Camp, as part of our continuing work and service in the community.

Programs
Chena Camp will serve as a home for the Alaska Lizzie Kitchen Program; whose mission is to teach participants basic culinary skills, steps to create nutritional meals, and the relationships between, food, health, and disease.
The camp location will also be available for, and dedicated to:
-
Gatherings for scheduled religious services, and community events.
-
Veterans-focused support groups to assist prior-service men and women in transition from active duty.
-
Events to engage at-risk and underserved youth, children, and families from the local community and interior villages, for day camps, or multi-day visits. Transportation to and from the Fairbanks area will be provided.
-
Affordable/donation-based conference and housing options for faith-based, non-profit or volunteer-themed events.

Thank You!
The campus has already been the blessed recipient of numerous donations of materials, and volunteer labor. During this past year, several projects were advanced to include 200 or so sheets of drywall board installed and finished, roofing work, a main panel for electric service installed in the lodge, bathrooms, kitchen, and dining area framed with rough-in electrical, water source and drain lines installed for several areas. Numerous small projects were completed to stage for further work and efficient progress in the coming summer season.
